welcome to Breathe Yoga Center, where your yoga journey is about to begin! Like every journey in our lives, it takes some time to get into the flow. We recommend 3 or 4 classes before deciding if you love it or hate it. The first class is never a good indicator as to whether or not yoga is right for you -- but if you stick with it, the amazing benefits of yoga will dramatically enhance many aspects of your life!
to make your yoga experience more rewarding, we have compiled the following list of tips and guidelines that should be helpful to you. Enjoy!
Tips and Etiquette:
- arrive 5 to 15 minutes early to sign in, change, set up for class and let your instructor know of any injuries or challenges you are struggling with.
- don't wear shoes in the studio. it is important to keep the studio clean and neat.
- come with an empty stomach.
- wear comfortable clothing that is breathable.
- come to class clean but do not wear perfume which could offend other students.
- Please refrain from speaking during class, because it is a distraction to the teacher and other students.
- hold any questions you may have until after class
- if you need to leave early please do so before savasana (resting pose).
- pace yourself! if at anytime you are struggling or are having difficulty breathing come out of the pose and connect to your breath. yoga is all about your breath, not getting the pose correct!
